Please read these rules before entering the AEP Energy 2017 Columbus Crew SC Ultimate VIP Experience (the “Columbus Crew SC Ultimate VIP Experience” or the “Sweepstakes”). By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor (defined below) and that you satisfy all eligibility requirements.

SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES IS GOVERNED BY THE STATE OF OHIO LAW.
Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open to all persons who, at the time of entry, are 18 years of age or older, legal residents of the United States residing in Ohio, Pennsylvania or Illinois. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) of each of AEP Energy, Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and its affiliates and agencies, Columbus Crew SC, MLS Entities, and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes or to win the Prize (defined below). The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Void outside of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and where prohibited or restricted by law, rule or regulation. Entry in the Sweepstakes constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of these Official Rules (the “Official Rules”) and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
How to Enter: The Sweepstakes entry period begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on August 11, 2017, and ends at 11:59 PM ET on September 15, 2017 (the “Entry Period”). Limit of one (1) entry per eligible household, regardless of method of entry. In case of multiple entries received from any household, only the first entry received from such household will be considered. There is only one way to enter the Sweepstakes during the Entry Period entry and no other method of entry will be accepted.
AEP Energy Sweepstakes Web Page: During the Entry Period, enter the Sweepstakes through an AEP Energy sweepstakes web page www.AEPenergy.com/VIP. Entrants must fill out all required fields on the entry form to participate in the Sweepstakes. After submitting the required information on the entry form, you will registered one (1) entry into the drawing. Any completed forms that do not meet the eligibility requirements above will be omitted from the drawing at the end of the Entry Period.
Information Collected and Privacy: Entrants may be given the option to receive commercial emails and/or other communications from Sponsor; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s consent to receive such emails and/or other communications and consenting to receive such emails and/or other communications will not impact any entrant’s chances of winning. By entering, an entrant agrees to be called, mailed or emailed by AEP Energy with information related to his/her entry.
Random Draw: A random draw for the Prize, by a Sponsor representative, or other person designated by Sponsor, will be held on or about the week of September 18, from among all eligible entries received. The potential winner(s) selected in accordance with the above will be contacted by telephone and/or email at the telephone number and/or email address provided at the time of entry. If a potential winner(s) cannot be reached within two (2) days of the first notification attempt or declines the Prize, he/she will be disqualified, his/her Prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting, an alternate potential winner(s) may be selected at random from among remaining eligible entries. The decisions of the Sponsor, including the selection of the winner(s), are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Prize: There will be one (1) Prize available to be won, consisting of: (a) two (2) admission tickets to attend the Columbus Crew SC soccer match against D.C. United scheduled to be on Saturday, September 30, 2017 (7:30 PM ET) at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio; two (2) persons granted on field credentials before the match; and two (2) Columbus Crew jerseys from the Columbus Crew Stadium Store. Estimated retail value (“ERV”) of the Prize(s) is $308.00. All Prize details, including exact Match date, Match seat location to be determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. The winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). Awarding of the prize will be conditional upon the sponsor receiving a completed 1099 form. All costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including, but not limited to, lodging, transportation costs, meals, gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner and his/her guest. Lodging is not included. The winner’s guest must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence (and at least eighteen (18) years of age), unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Match dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of Columbus Crew SC (in conjunction with the MLS) and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the Prize awarded will govern in the event a Match is not played due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance, work stoppage or any other reason.
Prize Conditions: The winner (and his/her guest, as applicable,) is solely responsible for any additional elements that are not specifically stated as part of the Prize, including, but not limited to, travel insurance, lodging, all meals, ground transportation between the winner’s/guest’s pick-up and drop-off points, additional ground transportation, gratuities, travel upgrades, personal incidentals and any other expenses not specified herein. No substitution or transfer of Prize or cash redemptions permitted, except at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute, for any reason whatsoever, the Prize (or any portion thereof) for another of comparable or greater value, at its sole and absolute discretion. The winner and his/her guest agree to comply with all applicable Stadium regulations in connection with the Prize. Columbus Crew SC reserves the right to remove or to deny entry to the winner and/or his/her guest if he/she/they engage(s) in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at a Match. The Released Parties (defined below) will not be responsible for weather conditions, acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppages or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Match. The Prize may not be resold or offered for resale. Any such resale may result in disqualification and Prize forfeiture, and may invalidate the license granted by the match ticket(s ).
Waiver of Liability/Publicity Release: By participating in the Sweepstakes and submitting an entry, each entrant (A) agrees to (i) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, (ii) the decision(s) of the Sponsor and (iii) waive any and all claims against the Sponsor, Facebook, Inc. (“Facebook”), Columbus Crew SC, MLS Entities, and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in the Sweepstakes or from the receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of the Prize (or any portion thereof) or any travel or activity that is related to the receipt or use of the Prize (or any portion thereof) and (B) acknowledges that (i) the Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and (ii) he/she is providing information to the Sponsor and not to Facebook. By entering the Sweepstakes, each entrant gives his/her express permission to be contacted by the Sponsor for Sweepstakes purposes. By acceptance of the Prize, the winner authorizes the Sponsor and its designees to use in any related publicity his/her name, photograph, image, any statements he/she may make regarding the Prize, city and state of residence, likeness and/or voice for advertising and promotional purposes worldwide in perpetuity and in any form of media now or hereafter devised worldwide (including the Internet), without limitation and without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, you waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. Entrants agree that in any cause of action, in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorneys’ fees and/or experts’ fees and costs. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THE SWEEPSTAKES, THE PRIZE, AND ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED IN THE SWEEPSTAKES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
General Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions: The Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, misdirected, lost, misrouted, scrambled, damaged, delayed, undelivered, mutilated, postage-due or garbled entries, transmissions, emails or mailings; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, cable, satellite, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), wireless network, website, or other connections, including those through and/or by any website, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cable or wireless transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; failures or malfunctions of telephones, telephone lines or telephone systems, any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in transmission, processing, or communication; non-delivery; misdirected, blocked, or delayed email notifications; printing, typographical or other errors appearing within these Official Rules, in any Sweepstakes-related advertisements or other materials; or any other errors, problems or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network, computer, telephone, mail, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties, which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the Prize or in any Sweepstakes-related materials, or the cancellation or postponement of any Match. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from their participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the Sweepstakes website.
Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes, including its website, or attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices, or intend to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor’s representatives or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of the Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor and/or its agent. Sponsor shall have the sole right to disqualify any entrant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Sweepstakes, and to resolve all disputes in its sole discretion. The failure of Sponsor or Facebook to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. All disputes concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard for conflicts of law doctrine, and all proceedings shall take place in Franklin County, Ohio.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend or otherwise modify the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) for any reason, including, but not limited to, incidents where a virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof). In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may elect to identify a winner and award the Prize by way of random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR TO UNDERMINE THE CONTENT OR LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAW AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH ENTRANT, AND SPONSOR AND/OR ITS AGENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY PERSON(s) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Winner: For the name of the winner (available after September 15, 2017), mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: AEP Energy “2016 Columbus Crew SC Ultimate VIP Experience” List of Winners c/o AEP Energy, P.O. Box 3489, Chicago, IL 60654. Requests for the name of the winner must be received by December 31, 2016.
