AEP Energy is a competitive retail electric service provider and a competitive retail natural gas service provider and an affiliate of Ohio Power Company (AEP Ohio).  AEP Energy is not soliciting on behalf of and is not an agent of AEP Ohio.  AEP Energy is an Electric Generation Supplier (EGS) and is not soliciting on behalf of and is not affiliated with or an agent of your Electric Distribution Company.  Electricity is the product of a mix of generation energy sources that is delivered over a system of wires. Customers do not need to purchase electric generation supply from AEP Energy in order to continue to receive regulated service from their utility. AEP Energy is a licensed Alternative Retail Electric Supplier (ARES). While it is an independent supplier of power certified by the Illinois Commerce Commission, AEP Energy is not soliciting on behalf of, endorsed by, acting on behalf of, and is not an agent of your electric utility, any governmental body, or consumer group. AEP Energy is a Third Party Supplier (TPS).  Switching to a TPS is not mandatory and you have the option of remaining with [LDC’s service territory in which TPS is offering services], your Local Distribution Company (LDC), for basic generation service. AEP Energy is a Maryland licensed electricity supplier number IR-757 issued in Docket No. 97936 effective August 3, 2005.  Any price quoted does not include any tax, utility distribution charge, or other utility fee or charge and AEP Energy’s price is not regulated by the Maryland Public Service Commission.
